How early should I arrive for my flight?

We recommend that you arrive 2 hours before your flight. This gives you enough time to park your vehicle, check in, check in your bags, go through TSA, and get to your gate on time. The aircraft will begin boarding approximately 30 minutes before takeoff.

Please note that the time of year you travel and the time of day can have a major impact on airport occupancy.

How do I know if my flight is on time?

The best way to stay informed about changes to your flight schedule is to sign up for notifications from the airline you fly with. Airlines will notify passengers via email/SMS when changes are made. You can also see these alerts on the airline's website or mobile app.

How much is airport parking?

Short term parking is available in our hourly lot at $1.00 per half hour (or fraction thereof) and $17.00 per day (24 hours).

Daily parking is available in our extended lot at $1.00 per half hour (or fraction thereof), $11.00 per day (24 hours) and $70.00 per week.

These car parks are both within walking distance of the terminal. Accessible vehicle parking is available in both car parks and is clearly marked with a disabled sign in the window or appropriate number plate.

When you enter the parking lot, you need to pull a ticket from the machine to open the gate. You will need this ticket when you return from your trip, either by inserting it into the machine at the exit gate or giving it to the staff member in the cabin. Exits are fully automated except during peak travel times when an attendant is present to assist you. The machines at the exit gate accept both cash and credit cards. If you encounter an issue while attempting to make your payment, please press the 'Help' button on the machine to be connected directly to a member of the REEF Parking 24/7 customer service team.

What type of ID do I need to fly within the United States?

Adult passengers 18 years and older must present a valid ID at the TSA checkpoint in order to travel. A state photo ID from the motor vehicle office, a driver's license or a passport can serve as ID.Click here for informationvia other acceptable identification.

The TSA can accept driver's licenses up to a year after the expiration date.

If you arrive at the airport without a valid ID because you lost it or because you are at home, you may still be able to fly. The TSA officer may ask you to complete an identity verification process, which includes collecting information such as your name, current address, and other personal information to verify your identity. If your identity is confirmed, you will be allowed to enter the checkpoint. You will be subject to an additional check that includes screening and screening of carry-on baggage.

For carry-on baggage, you must follow the 3-1-1 rules for liquids. You are allowed to bring one liter-sized bag of liquids, aerosols, gels, creams and pastes in your carry-on baggage and through the checkpoint. These are limited to travel-size containers of 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) or less per item.

Can I take food on board the plane?

Solid foods (no liquids or gels) can be carried in either carry-on or checked baggage. Liquid or gel foods larger than 3.4 ounces are not permitted in carry-on baggage and should be stowed in your checked baggage if possible.

TSA officials may instruct travelers to separate from carry-on items such as food, powder and any materials that can clog pockets and obstruct clear images on the X-ray machine. Travelers are encouraged to organize and keep their carry-on bags organized to ease the screening process and keep the queues moving.

Meat, seafood and other non-liquid foods are allowed in both carry-on and checked baggage. If the food is packed with ice or ice packs in a cooler or other container, the ice or ice packs must be completely frozen when they are brought through the screening. If the ice or ice packs are partially melted and there is liquid at the bottom of the container, they are not allowed. You can also pack frozen perishables in dry ice in your carry-on or checked baggage. The FAA limits you to five pounds of dry ice that is properly packaged (the package is vented) and labeled.

Items lost in the airport's public areas, including security checkpoints and gate areas, may have been included in our Lost & Found inventory.BGR keeps items left behind in the terminal for 60 days from the date they were found.
