TheWells Fargo Propel American Express®-Karteis no longer available to new applicants. However, in late June 2022, Wells Fargo launched theWells Fargo Autogrammkarte℠, which is a similar product with similar benefits.
From April 2021 theWells Fargo Propel American Express®-Kartedid not accept new applications.
But for existing cardholders, the card still offers a compelling value proposition: triple points across a variety of popular categories - including food and travel - all for a$0Annual fee. There aren't many cards in its class that can match that, and in fact the Propel has won three consecutive NerdWallet Best Of awards, such as "Best travel credit card with no annual fee."
Unlike pricier cards, however, the Propel doesn't offer swanky perks like travel credit, airport lounge access, travel transfer partners, or reimbursement forGlobal Entry oder TSA Precheck. But there are a few extras such as mobile phone protection and additional rental car insurance. That's a lot of value for a card that costs nothing.

You can also redeem credit over the phone or online in increments of $25/2,500 points applied directly to an eligible Wells Fargo account, or you can request a check.

You can aggregate Wells Fargo Rewards between Wells Fargo cards. So if you are a Propel cardholder and also theWells Fargo Visa Signature® credit card, you can transfer your points to the Visa Signature product and use that card's enhanced redemption value toward airfare, a Wells Fargo representative confirmed. The Wells Fargo Visa Signature® credit card is not available through NerdWallet.

Some of thebest award cards– especially those that offer generous welcome offers and high ongoing bonuses – come with an annual fee. So for a card to be worthwhile, you would need to earn enough rewards to offset the annual fee. That's no problem with the Wells Fargo Propel American Express®-Karte. It's rare to find a travel rewards card that offers so much ongoing value without an annual cost (assuming you don't incur interest charges).
Wide range of rewards
Unlike some other travel cards, the award categories for theWells Fargo Propel American Express®-Karteare both lucrative and generally attractive. It's not the only travel rewards card that includes certain onesless noticed categoriessuch as campsites, tollbooths and taxis. International acceptance may be limited
WhileWells Fargo Propel American Express®-Kartedoes not charge fees for international transactions, American Express is not as widely accepted outside the US as Mastercard and Visa. So for international travel this card might not be the best choice.
